Nacido en 1980 en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. Inicia en 2003 junto a Auro & Clemt. En 2004 forma González, editando 3 discos y una gira por NY y Washington. En 2007 inicia su carrera solísta, editando 3 discos hasta la fecha.
Ha sido nominado en 2 ocasiones a los Premios Casandra como “Mejor Artísta Pop/Rock”, sus canciones han participado en compilados internacionales (Mercedes Benz Mix-tape Europe Edition) y en películas como “Al Sur de la inosencia”. La cadena radial Norte Americana, KCRW seleccionó su tema “Se me
fue la mano” como el “Today’s top tune” entrando también el el segmento “Morning becomes eclectic”.
A lo largo de su trayectoria, Mena ha hecho varias giras por el país (Santiago, La Vega, Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cabarete, Cap Cana y Santo Domingo). En el marco de lo que han sido las giras “Doble Moral Tour” (2012) y ”Cadáveres en el Tour” (2014-2015).
Como parte de las giras internacionales, se ha presentado en San Juan (PR), Aguadilla (PR) y en el LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference 2008) de NYC y “Aces of Clubs” (NYC).

Su disco "Cadáveres en el Clóset" (2014), fue editado en formato vinilo, siendo el primer vinilo en editarse en la República Dominicana en los últimos 20 años.
With three acclaimed solo albums under his belt, plus the much-beloved outing under local super-group “Gonzalez”, Diego Mena has firmly solidified his position as one of his generation’s finest craftsmen of pop melodies in the Dominican indie music scene. In his most recent release, 2015’s “Cadáveres en el Clóset”, Mena continues channeling the spirit of 80s stalwarts "Soda Stereo", "Virus" and “babasonicos”, while embracing the sounds brimming from Latin American nu-wavers such as Chile’s “Astro” and “Alex Antwandre”, and Mexico’s “Zoé”.
“Cadáveres en el Clóset” finds Diego Mena aging -and tackling in his most confident voice to date- the daily travails of life in Santo Domingo; balancing a life spent between the beauty of his native city, and the everyday madness and injustices that color it. His first record since becoming a father, "Cadáveres en el Clóset" captures Mena ruminating about fatherhood and compromise, while continuing to contemplate the worn-in struggles of love, life and loss with the resolve and scars of someone in his mid-30s.
